Right after we celebrated the launch of TuneCore Live Brooklyn, we packed it up and headed to where it all began: Bardot Hollywood, home to TuneCore Live each and every month since January!
Our friends from Swisher Sweets, Mirrored Media and CeleBuzz joined along to make the night extra special. LA show-goers were given the opportunity to attend a weekend TuneCore Live showcase for the first time ever, and boy were they in for a treat!
Up first was Phoebe Bridgers, the indie-folk heroine who held the stage down with just a drummer. Phoebe wowed the crowd with cuts from her latest release, Killer.
Continuing the trend of a stripped down performances, Matt Costa brought his delightful brand of singer/songwriter folk to an attentive audience. Costa’s solo set helped complement the personal and intimate lounge-vibe that Phoebe helped lead us into.
Rounding off the evening was Casey Hurt, who switched things up a bit by bringing a full 4-piece backing band onstage. Grooving through soulful, bluesy cuts, Hurt and his band of well-dressed mates made for the perfect end to a night of great live indie music.
Thanks to everyone who made it out! We’ll be continuing the tradition on September 19th at Bardot – hit our TuneCore Live Facebook page to RSVP. Be sure to browse through our photo gallery below for more footage of a dope night:
